I Failed the Wyoming Bar Exam. What Do I Need To Do Now?

Wyoming’s February 2017 bar exam results are out!  22 applicants were recommended for admission to practice law. Among these, 14 passed the Wyoming bar exam.  Their names are published here. Since adopting the Uniform Bar Exam in July 2013, Wyoming has actually seen its overall passage rate go up. For example, Wyoming’s overall passage rate in 2012 was 53%. In 2016, the overall passage rate was 70%, which is right around the average since the UBE was adopted. Still, if you failed the Wyoming bar exam, you are certainly not alone! A Step-by-Step Guide on What to Do if you Failed the New Jersey Bar Exam: New Jersey  bar exam results are not yet out for the February 2017 administration. In 2016, New Jersey had its lowest overall pass rate in at least a decade. Only 58% of takers passed the exam. In fact, New Jersey’s passage rate has declined year-on-year since 2013. New Jersey also administered the UBE for the first time in February 2017, which could also have an effect on its pass rate. So, if you struggled with and failed the New Jersey bar exam, you are certainly not alone!

JD Advising Associate Meagan Jabbori Scores in the 96th Percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam

JD Advising associate, Meagan Jabbori, took the Washington bar exam in February 2017. She scored in the 96th percentile overall and in the 99th percentile on the written portion of the bar exam.

Washington administers the Uniform Bar Exam and released February 2017 results today at 8:00 AM PST.

We are very proud of Meagan and her outstanding score! She has helped hundreds of students pass the bar exam in Michigan as well as other jurisdictions. She looks forward to imparting her knowledge and expertise on the Uniform Bar Exam to future students. Continue reading

MBE Scores Drop to New Low! What Does this Mean for Me?

The ABA recently posted an article about the recent all-time-low MBE scores. Last February’s MBE average was 135. This year’s is 134.1. We all know one point can make a difference in passing and failing. It is also low considering that iother years have had much higher MBE averages (e.g. 137 in 2012 and 138 in 2013 and 2014).

There was a 65% passage rate for February bar exam takers. February 2017 was South Carolina’s first administration of the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). Therefore, it will be interesting to see if it has any affect on the overall pass rate. For all 2016 bar exam takers, the pass rate was around 63%, which was the lowest pass rate in at least a decade.
