Achieving Excellence in Law School and Beyond

Ashley Heidemann, Owner of JD Advising, LLC.

The purpose of this site is to help you achieve your goals – whether it is your goal to work at a big firm, start your own small firm, work in politics, or make a difference by becoming an entrepreneur, professor, or mediator. We teach law students strategies that help them graduate at the top of their class. We also help bar exam students all over the country pass the bar exam.

The author of this site is Ashley Heidemann. She  graduated as the number one law student out of over 200 students in her class of 2011 at Wayne State University Law School. She thereafter received a top score of over 180 on the Michigan bar exam in February of 2011.

Ms. Heidemann currently teaches an elite Michigan bar exam course at her office in Birmingham, highly-regarded Michigan bar exam seminars, and works as a private tutor for law school and bar exam students. She has designed all of her own course materials and has an extremely high bar exam passage rate among her students. She also owns a law firm, the Heidemann Law Firm, which writes bar exam appeals. Her firm wrote half of the passing bar exam appeals in the state for the July 2015 Michigan bar exam.  Further, she offers tutoring for law students all over the nation and teaches a law school preparatory course  for pre-law students. The law school preparatory course has online options and is taught live out of Birmingham, Michigan.

We teach students of all learning levels. Some of our students are very advanced in their understanding of the law and come to us merely to make sure they are on the right track and to receive pointed feedback. Other students of ours have learning disabilities — including ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, among many others — and we help them overcome any special challenges they have related to their disabilities.

In addition to teaching, Ms. Heidemann also writes articles (both on her blog and popular publications such as the National Jurist) and has published a book on How to Pass the Michigan Bar Exam. She also gives speeches to law students on how to succeed in law school and the bar exam as well as speeches to pre-law classes and clubs on how to prepare for law school.
